Eddie Munson is a captivating character introduced in the fourth season of the popular Netflix series, Stranger Things.
Portrayed by Joseph Quinn, Eddie is a student at Hawkins High School and the charismatic leader of the Hellfire Club. The Hellfire Club is a group dedicated to playing Dungeons & Dragons.
Known for his distinctive style and rebellious spirit, Eddie stands out as a “freak” in the eyes of many at Hawkings, but he embraces this label with pride.
Showcasing his love for Heavy Metal music, Eddie dons various rock band badges and pins, there are 3 badges/pins which features three 1980’s bands, Mercyful Fate, Judas Priest and Accept.
The original badge designs are very difficult to source due to their age and new popularity. I was commissioned by a friend who wanted to cosplay Eddie and recreate faithfully his style and look.
I took on the unenviable task of recreating the 3 band badges, what is shown here is the final result!

Eddie Munson’s style is a blend of heavy metal and rebellious flair, and his accessories play a big part in defining his look.
Besides his badges and pins, Eddie often wears a denim vest adorned with patches of various metal bands, adding to his edgy appearance. He also sports a collection of rings and bracelets, which contribute to his rock-and-roll persona.
His chain wallet is another signature accessory, emphasizing his nonconformist attitude.
These elements together create a distinctive and memorable look that perfectly complements his character’s personality.
Originally a pin the Judas Priest design is a difficult design to source and generally only found in america. To ensure a complete set was available I chose to replicate the pin badge as well as the two main badges.

You’ll notice there is a slight change to the W.A.S.P pin which we tested with a full 58mm badge or a laminiated design, as a temporary detail the laminated design was kept.

I was able to source a screen accurate ‘Judas Priest’ pin a couple of years ago. This unfortunately meant I had to swap out my own replica badge for the real thing.
The W.A.S.P pin shown here is a replica I created by hand, it was layers of PVC plastic, adhered to each other creating this stacked effect. Hopefully at some point soon I will be creating a better replica for this jacket.
